Maine Vacation, No Gas Required

Is it possible to take a vacation without filling up at the pump?

Now it is!  Hop aboard Amtrak's Downeaster, a train serving coastal Maine.  In under two hours, you will find yourself at the station in Wells, Maine.  No tolls or traffic for you!  Amtrak makes travel to Maine a breeze!  From there, the Shoreline Trolley will bring you to downtown Kennebunkport, or Dock Square.  Stroll through town and into Kennebunkport's Historic district, where you will find your luxurious accomodations for the duration of your stay, The Maine Stay Inn.  After a gourmet breakfast enjoyed on our wraparound porch or delivered to your door in a wicker basket, explore Dock Square's many boutiques or walk into Kennebunk to sun yourself on Gooch's or Mother's Beach.  Downtown, just two short blocks from the Maine Stay, is also home to many dining establishments, satsifying everyone's desires with sandwiches and clam shacks to breweries and fine dining.  Bicycle and kayak rentals, lobstering tours and whale watches are just steps from your door at the Maine Stay.  But return for a relaxing sunset on the porch or in our gardens, as our sprawling acre and a half makes an excellent sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Kennebunkport in summer.  And get to know your fellow vacationers, because at the Maine Stay Inn, "we have the nicest guests!"

Love your new blog! Very nice. I have never been to Maine but it is something I have always wanted to do! I told my husband we should take a few weeks off and just travel up the Maine coast. I will check back to your blog often to see what is new.
